Announcements for the 1961 season

We would like to announce that the calendar for the 1961 UAA racing season has been confirmed as follows:

• 12 hours of Strathcona Park Unglonian Grand Prix of Endurance (Strathcona Park, Grahamshire, April 2)
• Capital Trophy (New Salisbury Raceway, New Eire, April 9)
• Victoria Creek Trophy (Victoria Creek, Tyneland, April 23)
• Premier's Trophy (South Langley Autodrome, South Langley, May 7)
• Western Trophy (Western Raceway, North Langley, May 21)
• Sanders Trophy (West Waverly Raceway, West Waverly, June 4)
• Northcrest Trophy (Northcrest Raceway, East Waverly, June 18)
• Gran Premio de Nuevo California (North Pabloville, New California, July 9)
• Gran Premio de Costa Sur (Autodromo Nuevo Barcelona, Costa Sur, July 30)
• Southbank Trophy (Southcrest Speedway, East Waverly, August 20)
• New Chelsea Trophy (New Chelsea, Tyneland, September 10)
• 30th Annual UAA Tourist Trophy (Strathcona Park, Grahamshire, October 1)
• Unglonian Grand Prix (Strathcona Park, Grahamshire, October 22)

As you can see we have added a new race to our calendar. the Costa Sur Grand Prix, which is set to be held at the Autrodromo Nuevo Barcelona, which is currently under contruction and is due to be finished by July.

We would also like to announce that effective from 1962 front engined cars will not be allowed to compete in the Unglonian Gold Star Championship.
